PLANET LOCAL showing at the Colonial Theatre, followed by a panel discussion
THE STORY OF PLASTIC was AT THE COLONIAL THEATRE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2021.
Are you sickened by the omnipresence of plastics, and ready to fight back against the intrusion? Many joined us to view this ground-breaking film and stayed for a panel discussion by activists who successfully banned single-use plastic in West Chester and Philadelphia.
How Did You Do It?”
was the focus of a regional forum about banning single-use plastic, to be held immediately after the screening of The Story of Plastic on Sunday, September 19, at The Colonial Theatre. Hosted by Phoenixville Area Transition and the Phoenixville Green Team, panelists shared their successes and challenges in passing current bans in West Chester and Philadelphia.
Speakers included PA Rep. Dianne Herrin, Megan Schreadley, Asst. Professor of Communication and Media at West Chester University, and Maurice Sampson, Eastern PA Director of Clean Water Action.
